From altitude to antioxidants

The Science Behind Your Cup

High altitude effect

Coffee grown above 1,200 metres develops slowly, helping create denser beans with higher concentrations of polyphenols and chlorogenic acids (CGA).

Medium roast sweet spot

Dark roasting can destroy up to 90% of chlorogenic acid. A light-to-medium roast helps preserve this naturally occurring antioxidant.

The benefits of CGA

CGA may support cellular cleanup, help regulate blood sugar by slowing glucose absorption, and support heart and vascular health by helping blood vessels relax.
